What this keeps, and for how long.
The Cashvy app collects nothing. This page is not about the app — it is about the signup form on this website, which does collect something, because inviting somebody requires somewhere to send the invitation.
Who holds it
Soul Archive Limited, a company registered in England and Wales, number 16186654, at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ. For UK data protection law that company is the controller, and you can reach it at hello@cashvy.app.
What the signup form keeps
Your name, your email address, which platform you said you would test on, how you said you split bills today, and the exact wording of the consent you ticked. The slip on the signup page is generated from the same declaration the database is, so the two cannot disagree.
Three more things are written by this site rather than asked of you, and they are the rest of the list: a row number (id), when you signed up (created_at), and when we sent your invitation (invited_at, empty until we do). The last one is how we can tell who is still waiting.
It does not keep your IP address, your browser or device, what page sent you here, or a cookie. This site sets no cookie at all and runs no JavaScript.
What the feedback form keeps
Your answers, and the date. Nothing else — no name, no email, no code in the link that ties an answer back to a signup. That is deliberate: people answer “how did it feel” less honestly when they are named, and a form that does not ask cannot be asked to hand it over later. The date is kept as a date rather than a time, because a precise timestamp on an anonymous answer is a way of working out who wrote it.
Why
To invite you to test Cashvy before it is released, and to find out what went wrong while there is still time to fix it. Nothing here is used for advertising, sold, shared, or sent to any other company. There is no analytics on this site and no third-party anything.
The lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the signup form and can take back at any time.
How long
Until the beta ends, and no later than 31 March 2027. On that date the signup list is deleted.
Getting it deleted sooner
Write to hello@cashvy.app and say so. You do not have to give a reason and you do not have to be polite about it. You can also ask for a copy of what is held, or to have it corrected. Feedback answers cannot be deleted on request, because there is nothing in them that identifies which ones are yours.
If you think this has been handled badly you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator.
What Apple is told
The invitation we email you is a link to Apple’s testing app, which is how an unreleased iPhone app is installed at all. Opening it tells Apple your address, because that is how Apple delivers the build and the updates — and what Apple does with it is covered by Apple’s own privacy policy, not this one. We are not told anything back; the two lists are separate, and ours is the one described above.
There is no public link to that app anywhere on this site. Every place is handed out by email, one at a time.
